  1. What are units like yours selling for?
    By doing a little research first, you can make pricing your timeshare easy. Search our buy timeshare rent timeshare database and find your resort. From there, select the amount of bedrooms, bathrooms, and the week number corresponding to your unit. Look at the results and price yours accordingly. Remember, a highly priced unit will usually make for a slower resale process.
  2. Consider availablity. Some timeshare weeks are much more attractive for buyers than others. Holiday resale weeks generally are more attractive than non-holiday weeks, and can fetch a higher price on the market.
  3. Local Area Attractions will add value to your resale property. Is your unit located near any theme parks, historical sites, sporting stadiums, golf courses, or other popular attractions.   4. On-Site Dining and Nightclubs are popular with vacationers. When advertising your timeshare be sure to list any restaurants or nightclubs that may be on the premises.   5. Available Transportation is a strong selling point. As mentioned above, on-site dining and entertainment make a timeshare resale look more appealing than those without these amenities. Transportation is also a factor which adds value to a unit. Rental cars are expensive and take a large chunk out of the vacationers budget. Potential buyers are looking for this before the sales.
  6. Is your timeshare a Lockout unit? (See Helpful information for timeshare resale buyers and renters) These units can be split by locking a door between them. This allows families to vacation together and provides each family an adjoining room with privacy for each family. If your resale is a lockout make sure to include this in your advertisement.
  7. Consider the amenities offered by your resort. Does your resort have a tiki-bar, play pool for children, outdoor activities, brunches or buffets, or other resort provided functions? Should any of these type amenities be offered by your resort they will increase the sale price.
  8. Is your timeshare resale resort seasonal by nature? What this means is simply that a ski resort is very popular during the winter months, however during the summer months it's activities are limited. Make sure to include optional activities in your ad like mountain biking trails, or hiking during the off season.
  9. Location is very important when placing a timeshare resale on the sales market. Popular geographical locations like the Cayman Islands, Acapulco, and other year round summer time climates often fetch a higher return on the resale market. If your timeshare resale is located in one of these areas make sure to take this into consideration when pricing.
